Honor X5C

The HONOR X5c is an entry-level smartphone designed for users who want a large display, long battery life, expandable storage and dependable everyday performance without spending too much. HONOR highlights its 6.74-inch 90Hz display, 5,260mAh battery, MediaTek Helio G81 processor and 13MP AI camera as its main features.

Design and Display

The HONOR X5c features a large 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The higher refresh rate makes scrolling through menus, social media and websites feel smoother than on traditional 60Hz budget phones. HONOR also includes dynamic dimming technology intended to make viewing more comfortable.

However, this is still an affordable LCD display rather than an AMOLED panel, so buyers should not expect the deep blacks and high contrast found on more expensive phones.

Performance

Powering the HONOR X5c is the MediaTek Helio G81, an octa-core processor aimed at everyday smartphone tasks. It should be suitable for activities such as WhatsApp, TikTok, YouTube, web browsing, music streaming and light gaming.

The phone uses HONOR RAM Turbo, with HONOR describing a 4GB RAM configuration as equivalent to 8GB through virtual memory expansion. It is worth remembering that virtual RAM is not the same as having 8GB of physical RAM.

Camera

The HONOR X5c comes with a 13MP AI main camera. It is primarily designed for everyday photography in good lighting rather than advanced photography. HONOR also promotes AI-assisted camera features to help with image processing.

For casual photos, documents, social-media posts and family pictures, the camera should be adequate, but photography enthusiasts will find its capabilities limited compared with higher-end HONOR models.

Battery Life

Battery life is one of the strongest reasons to consider the HONOR X5c. It has a 5,260mAh typical-capacity battery, although HONOR lists the rated capacity at a lower figure. The company claims up to 20 hours of social-media browsing under its laboratory test conditions.

For normal mixed use, the large battery should make the X5c particularly appealing to users who prioritize endurance over premium features.

Storage

Storage varies by market, with HONOR listing configurations including 64GB and 128GB. The phone also supports microSD expansion of up to 1TB, giving users plenty of room for photos, videos, music and applications.
