Oneplus Nord N6 4G

Oneplus Nord N6 4G Price In Kenya And Specifications

OnePlus Nord 6 4G price in Kenya is Ksh 33,500. It is a mid-range smartphone designed for users who want a large display, dependable performance, long battery life, and a durable build without moving into the flagship price category. Announced on June 30, 2026, and released on July 4, 2026, the OnePlus Nord 6 combines Android 16 with OxygenOS 16 and a MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex chipset. It also features an 8,000mAh battery, a 120Hz display, a 50MP main camera, and IP65 protection, making it an interesting option for everyday users who prioritize endurance and practicality.

Design and Build Quality

The OnePlus Nord 6 has a large body measuring 166.5 x 78.2 x 8.9 mm and weighs 224 grams. While it is not particularly lightweight, its size accommodates the large display and exceptionally high-capacity battery. The phone features a glass front combined with a plastic frame and plastic back, giving it a balance between appearance, durability, and manufacturing cost.

For additional protection, the OnePlus Nord 6 carries an IP65 rating, meaning it is dust-tight and resistant to low-pressure water jets. It is also MIL-STD-810H compliant, although this certification does not guarantee that the phone will survive every extreme condition or accidental damage. The device supports two Nano-SIM cards, making it suitable for users who need separate personal and work numbers or want to combine two networks.

The OnePlus Nord 6 is available in Fresh Mint and Midnight Green, giving buyers a choice between two distinctive finishes.

Large 6.8-Inch 120Hz Display

One of the main attractions of the OnePlus Nord 6 is its large 6.8-inch IPS LCD display. The screen has a 120Hz refresh rate, which allows supported animations, scrolling, and transitions to appear smoother than on conventional 60Hz displays.

The display reaches approximately 975 nits of typical brightness and up to 1,200 nits in High Brightness Mode (HBM). This should provide reasonable visibility in bright environments. However, the 720 x 1570-pixel resolution and approximately 254 pixels-per-inch density place the display below many higher-end smartphones in terms of sharpness.

With an approximately 86.8% screen-to-body ratio, the OnePlus Nord 6 provides plenty of screen real estate for watching videos, browsing websites, using social media, and playing games. The combination of a large panel and 120Hz refresh rate makes the display particularly suitable for entertainment and everyday navigation.

Performance and Software

Under the hood, the OnePlus Nord 6 is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6360 Apex, built using a 6nm manufacturing process. The processor uses an octa-core configuration consisting of two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at up to 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores operating at up to 2.0GHz. Graphics are handled by the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The phone is offered with either 4GB or 6GB of RAM alongside 128GB of internal storage. Users who need additional storage can take advantage of the microSDXC card slot, although the card uses the shared SIM slot.

For software, the OnePlus Nord 6 runs Android 16 with OxygenOS 16. OnePlus promises up to two major Android OS updates. The combination of modern software and a relatively efficient 6nm chipset should make the phone capable of handling common activities such as social media, messaging, streaming, web browsing, and everyday multitasking.

50MP Main Camera

Photography on the OnePlus Nord 6 is handled by a single 50MP rear camera with an f/1.8 aperture and PDAF. The relatively high-resolution sensor is designed to capture detailed photographs in suitable lighting conditions, while phase-detection autofocus helps the camera focus quickly on subjects.

The rear camera also includes an LED flash and panorama functionality. For video recording, it can capture footage at 1080p resolution at both 30fps and 60fps.

On the front, the OnePlus Nord 6 features an 8MP f/2.0 wide-angle selfie camera. It supports panorama photography and can record 1080p video at 30fps. While the camera setup is relatively simple compared with camera-focused smartphones, it provides the essential photography and video capabilities needed for everyday use, social media, video calls, and casual content creation.

Massive 8,000mAh Battery

Battery life is arguably one of the strongest features of the OnePlus Nord 6. The smartphone comes with an 8,000mAh battery, which is considerably larger than the capacity found in many conventional smartphones.

The large battery is complemented by 45W wired charging, with OnePlus stating that the phone can reach 50% charge in approximately 47 minutes. This means users can recover a substantial amount of battery without having to wait for a full charging cycle.

The OnePlus Nord 6 also supports 5W reverse wired charging, allowing the phone to provide a small amount of power to compatible accessories or other devices. Bypass charging is another useful feature, particularly for users who spend extended periods gaming while connected to a charger.

Connectivity and Audio

The OnePlus Nord 6 supports GSM, HSPA, and LTE connectivity. Wireless connectivity includes WLAN and Bluetooth, while GPS is available for positioning and navigation.

The phone uses a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support for charging, data transfer, and compatible accessories. NFC is not included, which may be an important consideration for users who rely on NFC-based features.

For audio, the smartphone has a built-in loudspeaker but does not include a traditional 3.5mm headphone jack. Users who prefer wired headphones will therefore need compatible USB Type-C headphones or an appropriate adapter.

• Pros of the OnePlus Nord 6

The biggest advantage of the OnePlus Nord 6 is its 8,000mAh battery, which should provide excellent endurance for users who spend long periods away from a charger. Its 45W charging further improves convenience.

The 6.8-inch 120Hz display is another strong point, offering a large viewing area and smoother scrolling. The phone also benefits from IP65 protection and MIL-STD-810H compliance, giving it additional protection for everyday use.

The inclusion of a microSDXC slot is also useful for users who need more storage, while Android 16 and OxygenOS 16 provide a modern software experience.

Cons of the OnePlus Nord 6

Despite its strengths, the OnePlus Nord 6 has some compromises. The 720 x 1570 resolution is relatively modest for such a large 6.8-inch screen, meaning sharper displays are available in competing smartphones.

The phone also lacks NFC, which could be inconvenient for users who depend on NFC-based services. The absence of a 3.5mm headphone jack may similarly disappoint users who prefer traditional wired headphones.

The 224-gram weight also makes the device relatively heavy, although this is partly understandable given its large 8,000mAh battery.

Final Verdict

The OnePlus Nord 6 is primarily built around endurance and everyday practicality. Its enormous 8,000mAh battery, 45W charging, 120Hz display, IP65 protection, expandable storage, and Android 16 software make it an attractive option for users who value long battery life and dependable daily performance.

Its biggest compromises are the relatively low display resolution, basic camera system, lack of NFC, and substantial weight. Nevertheless, for users who prioritize battery endurance, a large 120Hz screen, durability, and practical features, the OnePlus Nord 6 offers a compelling mid-range smartphone package.
