Samsung Galaxy A57 5G Price In Kenya And Specifications

The Samsung Galaxy A57 5G is Samsung’s refined upper mid-range smartphone for 2026, designed to bridge the gap between affordability and flagship-level experience. Building on the strengths of its predecessors, the Galaxy A57 5G introduces a slimmer design, improved performance with the Exynos 1680 chipset, enhanced cameras, and a long-term software commitment. It is positioned as a well-rounded device for users who want premium features without paying flagship prices. The price in Kenya for Samsung Galaxy A57 5G is Ksh. 61,500.

Design and Build Quality

Samsung has elevated the design of the Galaxy A57 5G with a slimmer 6.9 mm profile and a lighter 179 g body, making it one of the sleekest phones in its class. Unlike many mid-range devices, it features an aluminum frame paired with Gorilla Glass Victus+ on both the front and back, giving it a premium in-hand feel.

The inclusion of IP68 water and dust resistance further enhances durability, making it suitable for everyday use in various environments. The device comes in stylish colors such as Navy, Gray, Icy Blue, and Lilac, appealing to both minimalists and trend-focused users.

Display Experience

The 6.7-inch Super AMOLED+ display is one of the standout features of the Galaxy A57 5G. With a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and peak brightness of 1900 nits, the screen delivers vibrant colors, smooth animations, and excellent visibility even under direct sunlight.

Although the resolution remains Full HD+, the display quality is still impressive due to Samsung’s superior panel calibration and contrast levels. Whether for gaming, streaming, or browsing, the viewing experience is immersive and enjoyable.

Performance and Software

At the heart of the Galaxy A57 5G is the Exynos 1680 chipset, built on a 4nm process. This processor delivers noticeable improvements in CPU and GPU performance compared to previous models, making multitasking, gaming, and content creation smoother.

Combined with LPDDR5X RAM and improved thermal management via a larger vapor chamber, the device maintains stable performance even during extended usage. It may not rival flagship processors, but it is more than capable for most users.

On the software side, the phone runs Android 16 with One UI 8.5. Samsung’s promise of six major Android updates and six years of security patches is one of the strongest in the industry, ensuring long-term usability and security.

Camera Capabilities

The Galaxy A57 5G features a versatile triple-camera system, including a 50MP main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultrawide lens, and a 5MP macro camera. The main sensor captures sharp, detailed images with good dynamic range, while the improved ultrawide camera offers better coverage than typical mid-range setups.

Samsung’s “Awesome Intelligence” adds AI-powered tools such as Object Eraser, Best Face, and Edit Suggestions, enhancing both photography and post-processing. Nightography improvements also allow better low-light shots with reduced noise and improved clarity.

The 12MP front camera supports 4K HDR video, making it ideal for selfies, video calls, and content creation.

Battery Life and Charging

The 5000 mAh battery ensures all-day usage for most users, whether for streaming, social media, or productivity tasks. Samsung’s optimization helps extend battery life even further.

With 45W fast charging, the device can reach around 60% in 30 minutes. While this is adequate, it does not lead the market, as some competitors offer significantly faster charging speeds.
