Samsung Galaxy S26 FE Review
The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is Samsung’s latest Fan Edition smartphone, offering several flagship-inspired features at a lower price than the standard Galaxy S26 series. It was announced in August 2026 and focuses on a large AMOLED display, improved performance, versatile cameras, Galaxy AI features, and long-term software support.
Design and Build
The Galaxy S26 FE has a slim 7.4mm body and weighs 193g. Its design follows the visual language of the S26 series, with a refined camera area and new finishes including Blueberry, Pistachio, and Graphite.
The large display makes the phone particularly suitable for watching videos, browsing, gaming, and social media. The overall design gives the S26 FE a premium appearance without moving completely into flagship pricing.
6.7-Inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X Display
The S26 FE features a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Samsung rates its peak brightness at 1,900 nits, making it suitable for use outdoors and in bright conditions.
The 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and animations feel smooth, while AMOLED technology provides strong contrast and vibrant colors. For users who prefer a large screen, this is one of the phone’s strongest features.
Exynos 2500 Performance
Powering the Galaxy S26 FE is Samsung’s 3nm Exynos 2500, a deca-core processor with clock speeds reaching up to 3.3GHz. It comes with 8GB RAM and storage options of 256GB depending on market and configuration.
The processor provides enough performance for everyday applications, multitasking, photography, streaming, and gaming. The move to the Exynos 2500 is one of the more important hardware changes compared with the S25 FE.
Triple Camera System
Samsung equips the S26 FE with a triple rear camera setup consisting of:
- 50MP main camera with OIS
- 12MP ultrawide camera
- 8MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS
The camera system also supports up to 30x digital zoom.
The 50MP main camera is designed for everyday photography, while the ultrawide camera is useful for landscapes and group photographs. The 3x telephoto camera provides additional flexibility when photographing distant subjects.
The phone also supports features such as Nightography, Photo Assist, My FanCam, and enhanced video stabilization, bringing some of Samsung’s newer AI and camera tools to the FE series.
12MP Selfie Camera
For selfies and video calls, the S26 FE features a 12MP front camera with an 85-degree field of view. Samsung has also introduced camera software improvements designed to enhance photography and video creation.
Battery and Charging
The Galaxy S26 FE has a 4,900mAh battery. It supports 45W wired charging, which can reach approximately 69% in around 30 minutes when used with a compatible 45W charger. It also supports 15W wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
The battery capacity is suitable for all-day everyday use, although actual battery life will depend on factors such as screen brightness, network connection, gaming, and camera usage.
Android 17 and One UI 9
One of the S26 FE’s biggest advantages is its software. It launches with Android 17 and One UI 9, bringing Samsung’s latest interface and Galaxy AI features.
Samsung promises up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, giving the phone a long software lifespan.
